The Argolida county is famous for its citrus production and as such at certain times of the year the air is full of the scent or orange and lemon blossom, on passing through any area of the Argolida one has the pleasure of seeing the orange and mandarin trees that line the roads and fields.

The Argolida is home to two of the largest, most important archaeological sites in Greece, Mycenae and the Ancient Theatre of Epidavros where plays are held through the summer months.

Visit other areas of cultural and historical interest such as Ancient Tiryns, Nafplion and Ancient Asini, the beaches and traditional villages of Kastraki, Drepano, Vivari, Candia and Iria found along the coast. Geology enthusiasts will be mesmerised by the twin chasms at Didyma and the pyramid at Ellinikon is well worth a visit, having been constructed before the famous pyramids of Egypt.
